1. Legend by Marie LuSo this one is a dystopian novel supposed to be full of action, suspense, and romance.
Here's the description:
What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors. Born into an elite family in one of the Republic''s wealthiest districts, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic''s highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country''s most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem.
From very different worlds, June and Day have no reason to cross paths - until the day June''s brother, Metias, is murdered and Day becomes the prime suspect. Caught in the ultimate game of cat and mouse, Day is in a race for his family''s survival, while June seeks to avenge Metias''s death. But in a shocking turn of events, the two uncover the truth of what has really brought them together, and the sinister lengths their country will go to keep its secrets...
2. The Selection by Kiera Cass
This one is about the competition between a group of girls to win the heart of prince Maxon and live in a palace. The idea of this book seemed incredibly intriguing so i picked it up about a month ago.
Here's the description:
For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in a palace and compete for the heart of gorgeous Prince Maxon.
But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn't want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks.
Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she''s made for herself-and realizes that the life she''s always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.
3. Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
Alright so for this one i'm a little late.. Or a lot late! I read The Hunger Games and Catching Fire months ago but just never got around to reading the final book and i really need to get on with finishing the trilogy! This summer seemed like the perfect time!
Here's the description:
Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has survived the Hunger Games twice. But now that she''s made it out of the bloody arena alive, she''s still not safe. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge. Who do they think should pay for the unrest? Katniss. And what''s worse, President Snow has made it clear that no one else is safe either. Not Katniss''s family, not her friends, not the people of District 12. Powerful and haunting, this thrilling final installment of Suzanne Collins''s groundbreaking The Hunger Games trilogy promises to be one of the most talked about books of the year.
4. Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver
So this is another one where i read the first one a few months back and never got on with the rest of the trilogy, so once again this summer i'll finish this one up with pandemonium and Requiem.
There was no proper description for this one so here's the general idea:
Lauren Oliver delivers an electrifying follow-up to her acclaimed New York Times bestseller,Delirium. This riveting, brilliant novel crackles with the fire of fierce defiance, forbidden romance, and the sparks of a revolution about to ignite.
5. Killing Mr. Griffin by Lois Duncan
This one is a bit of an older book but when i saw it on amazon for only $4.00 I couldn't resist and ordered it. Now just to find the time to read it! I feel like this is going to be the type of book that keeps me up all night wanting to know what happens, but we'll see!
Here's the description:
They only meant to scare him.
Mr. Griffin is the strictest teacher at Del Norte High, with a penchant for endless projects and humiliating his students. Even straight-A student Susan can''t believe how mean he is to the charismatic Mark Kinney. So when her crush asks Susan to help a group of students teach a lesson of their own, she goes along. After all, it''s a harmless prank, right?
But things don''t go according to plan. When one "accident" leads to another, people begin to die. Susan and her friends must face the awful truth: one of them is a killer.
Leave the lights on when reading this classic thriller! This new edition features modernized text and a new introduction by Lois Duncan, the master of teen horror.

So there you have it, all the books i plan on reading over the next couple months! I'm sure there will be a few more but these are the ones i want to make sure i read. Let me know what you're planning on reading this summer and tell me if any of these are on your list too! :)
